I am Tonisha Cohen-King, founder of Influence Yoga & Wellness Therapy.
My personal experience with yoga began in 2012 after a back injury, leading me to discover the profound benefits of yoga for physical health.
In 2019, I embarked on a deeper dive into yoga, inspired by a workshop on yoga for anxiety and depression. It was during that class I learned the profound benefits that yoga has on our mental health.
This pivotal moment led me to complete a 200-hour yoga teacher training and 100 - hour meditation training under the guidance of Berta Prevosti at Jiiva Center.
Yoga teacher training changed my life for the better and gave me a deep desire to share my practice to support others on their path to healing.
As a licensed clinical social worker and certified yoga and meditation instructor, I lead the practice with a unique blend of therapeutic, mindfulness practices and yoga proficiency.
I am committed to providing trauma-informed and holistic treatment tools to all with an intentional focus on marginalized communities.
My vision is to create a space where everyone can access the healing power of yoga and therapy, regardless of their circumstances.
Join me on this journey towards wellness and discover the transformative impact of yoga and therapy.
